Warren Hill is nothing like his charismatic, successful, manicured, self-assured father Gordon. He’s a lot more interesting.

Gordon and Son is a dark comedy-drama about power, legacy, and the suffocating pressure of following in your father's footsteps. Warren Hill has no interest in inheriting his father’s corporate empire, Hill Enterprises—but that doesn’t stop Gordon, a charismatic CEO with a flair for cruelty, from dragging him along as his reluctant successor.

With a sale in sight, Gordon gets cold feet and backs out, opting for mass layoffs instead. He treats the firings like a party trick while Warren suffocates in the background. As a final lesson, Gordon orders Warren to carry out the last firing: Harper, a promising young employee Warren has started to fall for.

Warren goes through with it, hoping to earn his father’s approval, but the moment leaves him hollow. He sees the trap he’s fallen into and makes a quiet decision to walk away, leaving his father, the company, and his prescribed future in the rearview mirror.
